The Comenius Project: Exhibiting works in Germany & Poland

This April, I took part in a Comenius project, funded by the EU and dedicated to promoting cultural exchange across Europe. Together with three other Maltese students from the Art & Design Institute, I exhibited a range of work spanning ceramics, paintings and graphic design posters.

The project brought together seven different countries, giving us the chance to discover and exchange cultural perspectives with young artists from across Europe. Our Maltese stand stood out for the high standard of work produced by our team. A special thanks to Mr Charles Pace Briffa for his guidance throughout. We were also given the opportunity to present our work directly to delegates from the participating countries, helping to promote Maltese art on an international stage.

During the week, I had the chance to explore the German culture and its natural landscape firsthand, an experience that added another layer to the project beyond the exhibition itself.

As a result of the exchange, my work was commissioned by both the Polish and German delegates of the organisation, a rewarding outcome to a memorable week.
