Stiefnu De Battista was born on September 17, 1985, in Lija, Malta. From an early age, he accompanied his father, a late electrical engineer, on various boats. During these formative experiences, he closely observed fishermen departing and returning to port, their vessels loaded with boxes brimming with freshly caught fish. A formative image that would later anchor much of his artistic vision.
